OUR DIRECTORS
Lauren Anderson
Director
At 18 Lauren was chosen to represent Australia, to compete in the World Dance Championships in Orlando Florida, USA for Jazz and contemporary dance.
Lauren has since then had many highlights from performing with Hugh Jackman to cruising the Pacific Ocean with Princess Cruises, playing the role of Young Valda on Neighbours, Sandy/Rizzo in the touring ‘Grease is the Word’ and apart of Wicked the musical in Japan.
Lauren has also studied dance in London at Pineapple Dance studios.
Brianna Anderson
Director
Brianna’s career began with Princess Cruises, where she had the opportunity to travel internationally aboard the Tahitian Princess and later on board the Emerald Princess.
She then went on to join the iconic Moulin Rouge in Paris, where she performed nearly every night for four years. Her time with the legendary cabaret continued as she toured internationally for another four years, with notable performances in Times Square, New York, and headlining in Moscow.
Throughout her time at the Moulin Rouge, Brianna was one of the few dancers to perform every role in the show, including the principal role, soloist, danseuse Nude, the historical can-can, and even performing with live snakes in one of the show’s most daring acts.
Brianna holds a Diploma in Dance Teaching & Management, a Certificate IV in Performing Arts, and is an accredited SFD Examiner.
Sheridan Anderson
Director
Sheridan studied at Isolation Performing Arts Studio before working as a dancer and aerialist for Royal Caribbean International. She then continued her training at Broadway Dance Center, studying under some of Broadway's finest choreographers and directors.

Sheridan appeared in GFO's 9 to 5, The Wizard of Oz, We Will Rock You and was Dance Captain for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She performed in The Wedding Singer (DVE) The Production Company's Dusty, as Graziella in West Side Story, as Stephanie in StageArt's Saturday Night Fever, was Assistant Choreographer for their production of Nine and performed in Michael Ralph's Now and Then and SELF.
OUR TEACHERS
Eliza Carlin
Musical Theatre
Eliza graduated from Showfit in 2019, and the Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2022. She also studied at New York University Steinhardt in 2017 in the Vocal Performance (Music Theatre) program.
At 11 years old Eliza made her professional debut in the 2012 Australian production of Annie (GFO). Her other performing credits include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (TML Enterprises), Maybe A Miracle, The Marine Team, Way Too Cool & AI Academy (Echelon Productions).
Eliza is a choreographer for the performing arts program at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School and an assistant choreographer for Starbound Musical Theatre.

Georgia Dupuy
Acrobatics/Hip Hop
Georgia has always had a passion for dance, and has found herself in classes from the age of 4. At 8 years old, Georgia trained for 6 years as an all star competitive cheerleader, holding national Australian titles and travelling overseas (Palm Springs, America) to compete. This allowed her to develop skills in acrobatics and tumbling, which she carried across to her full time dance course in 2020 at Kelly Aykers FullTime Dance.
Georgia is trained in all dance styles, including jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary and Bollywood, but has a special talent and passion for acro, hip-hop and commercial.
She has thus far in her career graduated with a Cert 4 in Dance Teach & Management from Kelly Aykers FullTime Dance in 2022, has been a Melbourne Vixens Dancer for the 2022 season, and performed in gigs for Masters of Choreography.

Emma Lee Kang
Hip Hop
Emma started dancing at the age of 4 and has taught dance for 15 years. She is trained in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet and Commercial.
Emma moved from Perth to Melbourne to complete a full time dance course at Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance, where she received a Diploma in Elite Dance and Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management.

THE SCHOOLS HISTORY
THE ORIGIN OF
ANDERSON DANCE COMPANY
Billie Stapleton founded Stapleton Dance Academy in 1995. It was a well-known dance and musical theatre school in Melbourne, due to its specialized technical training. SD Academy has had an enormous success rate over the years with nurturing fine young talents into a world of professional dance and theater. During the many years of being opened, we have had many students accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts. This achievement has launched them into the likes of the Western Academy of Performing Arts, The Australian Ballet School, The Queensland Ballet Company and The German Ballet Company. They have also had wonderful success in numerous musicals, musicals such as Oliver, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Strictly Ballroom and Aladdin.

In 2018, the Stapleton's handed the school over to another Performance Family, The Anderson Sisters, who have loved watching the school grow. As we move on to an exciting chapter, the Stapleton Dance Academy legacy will live on and will always be cherished.
